Month: January 2015

Being January, i took some time out to think about what went wrong or right last year. Taking stock of last year i realised that there was many areas that i would get started on and then for a myriad of reasons i just fall by the wayside only to start again. I realised that i have been lacking and slacking in DISCIPLINE.
This year i want to be more disciplined in every sphere of my life. I want to be more disciplined in my financial life, saving before i start paying bills in order to treat myself at the end of the year.
Fitness, when it comes to holiday time, schedule in workouts and keep them.
One of the best things about growing older is that you get to know what you can and can’t take or do. You know your limits with alcohol and bad behaviour. You begin to live your life for you and not for what you think other people will think, they think what they want to anyway and it is none of your business.
December was a crazy month financially and fitness wise and i am paying for it now…sigh..
I also want to do some more marathons and i am looking to do the First lady’s marathon in March. To that end i have started working out ..yay me!

I hope to be accountable to you and most importantly myself.

I also think is the year i will begin to date again…

Hello World! Happy New Year!

It is a new year and there is a lot of positive energy flowing…don’t you just love it?! I do 🙂

This year has started off well for my family and i, as my brother and his girlfriend just had a baby girl…YAAY! Talk about a grand entrance as her due date was just after Christmas but she just had to keep us waiting…

There are lots of things we all want to accomplish this year, goals and resolutions and deadline. I prefer to call them goals and i start identifying them in November and working on them in December so that by the time the new year rolls in, i am not struggling or have identified what would be more feasible.

There are lots of things i want to do/accomplish this year and they are in no particular order:

I want to put down that down payment on the house my grandma has been pestering me about.

Do at least 3 marathons,if not more.

Spend less time on social media.

Learn more recipes and host some guests for said meal. At least twice this year.

Put myself out there and date someone….

Identify a side hustle and get on with it.

Complete my diploma course and get started on my degree (only 4 units to go!)

Get a handle on my finances…I know many folks can identify with this..can i get an ‘amen’?

Those are just some of them.

My birthday is this Saturday….WOOHOO! I turn 30 something *wink*

I will think of some 30 something things i have learned in life.

Till then, keep safe and keep smiling. 🙂
